Welcome to my crisis!

Sit back, grab a drink and snack, and buckle up for my online diary documenting my journey through life.

How to Have a Great Day

Are you having a shit day? Here’s how to turn it around!

  1. Be sarcastic about everything
    • This totally helps because you start to slowly believe your sarcasm throughout the day.
    • Example: 10:00 AM “I fucking love this job. It’s my favorite thing to do” vs 3:00 PM after a day of chaos and slowly slipping into insanity “I fucking love this job. I live here now.”
  2. Give yourself a treat after every task completed.
    • Talk about being productive. Give yourself a reward after everything you accomplish in the day. It will keep you motivated to keep doing more.
    • Example: If you wake up to your tenth alarm, give yourself a treat by watching TikTok’s in bed until you have about 15 minutes to get ready. You’ll really thank yourself while rushing to get ready.
  3. Stay hydrated!
    • Water, wine, liquor… They’re all liquid, right?
  4. Use positive language.
    • Saying things like “FUCKKKKK” or “Son of a bitch” or “Good Job you idiot” can really make your day feel brighter and more colorful. Who needs to be proper when fuck is such a versatile word.
  5. Make eye contact with people.
    • Did someone just say something extremely stupid to you? Make eye contact and stare at them until it gets extremely uncomfortable for them. Hopefully, it will prompt them to actually put some thoughts into little brains and actually think before they open their dumb mouths and speak nonsense. Bonus points for you if they apologize and walk away without speaking to you for the rest of the day.

Obviously, I’m joking. Well… kinda… Anyways, I was having kind of a crap day but it turned out okay in the end. I was reflecting on what changed and it was literally just my mindset. I know. I know. I sound like one of those rise and grind at 3 AM weirdos. I’m not saying thinking more positively can cure depression or anything but I was at least able to just relax myself into realizing that it’s fine. I’m not going to die over a missed email or running late to work. Nothing was as serious as I thought it was. I could only figure that out by taking a step back and just thinking about the actual severity of my situations. Genuinely bad days are definitely going to happen and you won’t be able to turn it around but when you’re able to, you should at least give it a try.
